Homemade vanilla ice-cream mixed with raspberry lemonade to make a Magical Unicorn Milkshake. Appropriate for any age.
Unicorns, unicorn dip, unicorn frappes are all the rage. Who loves anything unicorn? Me. I am pairing my friend’s milkshake obsession with her love of unicorns to create for her a Swirled Raspberry Lemonade Unicorn Milkshake. This weekend, she’s turning a half century. The Raspberry Lemonade Unicorn Milkshake is appropriate for any age. Is there a cut-off age to drink milkshakes or like unicorns? I hope not.
Do you have an ice-cream maker? They are the best for controlling the ingredients and flavors. Vanilla-bean is the base flavor in the Swirled Raspberry Lemonade Unicorn Milkshake. Make the flavor once, separating it into 3 freezer-safe containers. Before putting the containers into the freezer, create the flavors and colors you choose. Next, add pink lemonade kool-aid dry mix to the first container. Then add blue raspberry kool-aid dry mix to the second container. Finally, keep the vanilla-bean of the 3rd container, adding 1 drop of red & 1 drop of blue food coloring to make the ice-cream purple. Change the flavors and colors to your liking.
Are you attending the Food Wine Conference in Orlando, Florida? The conference will be celebrating it’s 5th anniversary. The dates are May 19-21, 2017. Are you going this year? It is not too late to purchase a ticket. One of the conference sponsors, Florida Dairy Farmers is hosting a #makeitwithMILK contest, where bloggers were tasked with creating a recipe using at least 1 cup of real milk and at least 1 cup of one other dairy product.
This recipe was created for the #makeitwithMILK contest in conjunction with the Food Wine Conference. I was not compensated for this post. All opinions are mine alone.
